      What makes great teaching? Well, this question is subjective. Great teaching varies from person to person and that is something that will be very telling from everyone's blogs and responses. As far as the 5 favorite strategies go; I chose a few I believed to be very effective throughout our own class. The Blogging With Other Educators method, which I stated gave us the opportunity to be able to discuss different ideas and comments with our classmates.  The 3-2-1 allows us to analyze and observe things we liked while as a teacher being able to analyze what my students are still confused about. The word-It-Out method gives students the ability to recognize key concepts and words in a module. The Black-Out Poem, I believe is very powerful because it takes a bigger article and is able to summarize or turn it into a deeper analysis of what we are examing.       The compelling question still stands, why are schools still segregated? One might think to themselves, well I went to a diverse school how could schools still be segregated in our times when that was banned years ago. Well, the story of gentrification goes on and on. Just like we have previously talked about before, we learned that certain areas of towns will continue to grow business causing the price to rise in certain districts which makes it harder for those who are not well off; typically minorities, to purchase land and live in a wealthier area. This cycle has been going on for hundreds of years and is most providently seen now that there are no real segregation rules. We see the poor continuing to get poorer and the rich continuing to get richer. The worst part about it is it is not that noticeable to a lot of people.
